Data assimilation for urban noise mapping with a meta-model

چکیده

Accurately predicting dynamic noise levels in urban environments is non-trivial. This study aims to optimally combine both simulated and empirical data. Acoustic data from microphone arrays, traffic weather was merged with a map, created statistical emulator tool (meta-model). Each hour, map generated by the meta-model measured algorithmically readings form new composite map. The resulting analyzed best linear unbiased estimator under certain assumptions. performance evaluated leave-one-out cross-validation. of method depends on accuracy meta-model, input parameters structure error covariances between level errors. With 16 microphones over an area 3 km2, this achieves reduction 30% root-mean-square when compared only.

Traffic Noise Mapping in Urban 3D Area by Using GIS and CORTN Model

Urban communities have been developing and they are being industrialized. These developments have some benefits for these communities; however, they have created some significant problems. One of these problems in this area is traffic and road congestion and following that, noise pollution on urban areas. These days, noise pollution is one the considerable problems that the residents of crowded...

A Wildfire Model with Data Assimilation

A wildfire model is formulated based on balance equations for energy and fuel, where the fuel loss due to combustion corresponds to the fuel reaction rate. The resulting coupled partial differential equations have coefficients that can be approximated from prior measurements of wildfires. An Ensemble Kalman Filter technique is then used to assimilate temperatures measured at selected points int...

A model-based approach for mapping rangelands covers using Landsat TM image data

Empirical models are important tools for relating field-measured biophysical variables to remotely sensed data. Regression analysis has been a popular empirical method of linking these two types of data to estimate variables such as biomass, percent vegetation canopy cover, and bare soil. This study was conducted in a semi-arid rangeland ecosystem of Qazvin province, Iran. This paper presents t...
